Smoked Chicken Wings
Ingredients
1 frozen 3 lb bag of chicken wingsWeber Honey & Garlic Rub
Kroger Hot Wing Sauce (or other favorite wing sauce)
Spray Butter
Mesquite Smoking Chunks (or chips, pending on smoker)
Prep
1. 24 hours before cooking, take wings out of freezer and refridgerate2. Night before, open bag from fridge and spray butter in the bag to coat wings. After spraying liberally inside the bag, shake bag vigorously.
3. Pour 2 tspb rub in the bag and shake vigorously.
4. Set bag back in fridge to thaw out further
5. 4 hours before grilling, set wings on counter if not completely thawed.
6. 2 hours before grilling, shake bag vigorously and check that wings are coated in rub. If wings are not coated in rub, pour 2 tbsp in the bag and shake again.
7. Leave at room temperature until ready to cook
Cooking Instructions
1. Tune smoker to 325 degrees, adding in smoking chunks
2. Using a heat deflector on your kamado, cook on one side for 20 minutes
3. Flip wings and cook for another 20 minutes
4. Take wings out and place in large bowl and top with your choice of wing sauce
5. If bowl you placed wings in does not have a lid, place a plate over the bowl and shake the bowl to evenly coat the wings in the sauce.
