Smoked Snow Crab Legs - Recipe
For this cook I used Malcom Reed's recipe from How to BBQ Right
Ingredients
Frozen snow crab legs - Cooked prior to freezing.
1lb butter
2 tbsp Killer Hogs The BBQ Rub (From How to BBQ Right)
1/2 tsp Louisiana Crab/Shrimp boil seasoning
Dried Parsley
1 lemon
Directions
1 - Thaw crab legs in the fridge overnight
2 - Mix ingredients in an aluminum pan to make "BBQ Butter"
- 1lb melted butter
- 2 Tablespoons of Killer Hogs The BBQ Rub
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of Louisiana Crab/Shrimp boil seasoning
- Little bit of Dried Parsley
- Juice from 1 lemon
3 - Use a brush or dip the crab legs in the pan to apply the BBQ Butter
4 - Throw crab legs in smoker at 250 degrees with your choice of wood flavor, I used cherry.
5 - Smoke for a total of 30 minutes, basting them every 10 minutes with the BBQ butter.
6 - Remove and serve immediately
Since this is the first time attempting this at home, we did not have the proper utensils. My daughter and I both ended up bleeding before we were finished. Ended up buying a cheap set of utensils on Amazon for next time.
