This is my first electric vacuum sealer.  I purchased this to replace a manual/hand pump sealer that I originally purchased with my Sous Vide cooker.  I was initially looking at some of the cheaper FoodSaver models, but this was actually on sale when I bought it for $69.54.  On top of that, they were offering a $70 instant Amazon gift card if you signed up for their Prime Visa card.  So why not, I basically got it for free.  Here are just a few of the features:

• Pull-out drip tray drawer with patented removable dishwasher-safe drip tray helps keep your counters clean

Overall it is pretty simple to use.

There are 3 buttons across the top of the sealer:

1. Food - This allows you to set sealer up for either Dry or Moist food
2. Seal - This button is only used to seal one side of the bag when you are using the roll and not pre-cut bags.
3. Vac/Seal - This button is used once you have placed your food in the bag and are ready to remove all of the air and seal the bag closed.  Once the vacuum shuts off, the "Seal" light will turn red.  Once the red light turns off you can remove the bag.  Example shown in the video below:

There are also 3 settings on the right side of the sealer controlled by a knob:

1. Operate - Set the switch to the Operate setting in order to use the Seal and/or Vacuum function
2. Store - Set the switch to the Store setting when not in use
3. Open - Set the switch to the Open setting to access the bag rolls, cutter, drip tray, and to insert bags to be sealed/vacuumed.

It has an accessory port as well which can be used with FoodSaver jars or containers.  I do not own any of these so I have not personally tried this out yet.

So far this has worked great and I've had no problems with it.  I will update this post as needed if I run into any issues with it or can provide additional information.
